Classes Available


Mom-n-Me - a new class designed to introduce movement to the youngest of dancers and their favorite adult! 30 minutes (Child age 2-3)  Call for availability and sessions.

Creative Movement/Pre-ballet - especially designed to expand motor skills of younger students by developing coordination and self-expression through simple dance movements and songs. 45 minutes (Ages 3-4)

Pre-ballet/Tap - an introduction to the technique in ballet and tap, while still developing motor skills, rhythm and coordination. 1 hour (Ages 4-5)

Ballet Prep - an introduction to the formal study of Ballet for our younger dancers. 1 hour (Ages 6-7)  This class dances in the Nativity Ballet.

Ballet - complete classical training emphasizing proper technique and development. Praise expressions are also introduced in the choreography. (Ages 7 and up)
***Ballet is the most beneficial form of dance for the body placement and is the best foundation for all other dance forms. Students are not required to take ballet, however, it is highly recommended that any student wishing to improve technique and move on to advance classes have this essential instruction.

Pointe - advance technique taught for ages 12 and over with at least two years ballet experience. Requires staff approval.

Modern - a free and expressive form of dance for experienced dancers (Ages 11 and up).

Jazz - an exciting and free form of dance. It is great for flexibility and extension. (Ages 7 and up).

Tap - an upbeat, fun, all-American favorite! It is excellent for rhythm as well as toning and strengthening the legs! (Ages 4 and up).

Hip Hop - an aerobic funk style of dance, reminiscent of music videos. Great for muscle and aerobic exercise! (Ages 8 and up)

Ballroom - learn the latest in ballroom and latin dancing!  Limited space.  A partner is recommended.  (Ages 14-Adult)  Call for availability and sessions!

Registration and Tuition 08-09

A fee of $30 for the first student per family (add $5 per additional student) is due upon registration and is non-refundable.  Each student registering will receive a STEPS of FAITH T-Shirt!

Tuition is an annual fee based on thirty-six weeks of instruction (Aug 11-May 16). For your convenience, it is divided into ten equal installments and is due by the tenth of the month. A discount of 5% is available to those wishing to pay at least three months at a time and a 10% discount to those paying yearly. Allowances have been made for holidays.

Rates are per family by adding the total hours of all students (effective Fall 2008):
*1st class per week - 30 min. $40 per month
*1st class per week - 45 min. $48 per month
*1st class per week - 1 hour $55 per month
*1st class per week - 1 1/2 hr. $70 per month (1 1/4 hr. $65/month)
*1st class per week - 2 hours $95 per month
*Each additional class per week 
        30min                      $35 per month
        45min - 1 hour         $45 per month 
        1 1/2 hour                $55 per month
*Unlimited classes (1st student) $180 per month (Company member's tuition is different and includes member dues)
Mom-N-Me six week sessions is $50, and Ballroom or Irish workshop will have its own separate fees.  Call for information.

Withdrawals may be made at any time, however, we highly encourage students to "finish what they started" and finish at least the semester, as this teaches responsibility and teamwork.  We require that you notify the studio by written notice immediately if you find you must withdraw.  By not providing proper notice, we continue to reserve your place in class, and your account will continue to be billed.  Not coming to class is not proper notice. You will be responsible for class fees up until notice is recieved.  Notice before the 15th of the month will be considered effective on the date received, and notice after the 15th of the month will be considered effective on the 1st of the next month.

BIRTHDAY PARTY Fees:
Includes 1 hour instruction and an additional hour of studio use for cake/presents: $90 for first 10 dancers, $9 each additional dancer.

ANY COMPANY CLASS MEMBER must have auditioned to register for any company level class.

What to Wear for Class

All students are required to wear appropriate dance wear to class (no jeans and no costumes). All female students need a class-designated leotard for minimal distraction in class as well as for uniformity for class/small performances.  See office or on the online registration form for your designated color.  You will have the option of style choices.   Hair must be in a bun for all ballet classes, pulled away from the face for all other classes.
Ballet: class assigned leotard for preschoolers and children, as well as company level classes, solid color leotard for teens and adults, pink footed or convertible tights, leather or canvas (not nylon) pink ballet shoes.
Tap: solid colored leotard or unitard, tights, black tap shoes(ribbon tie for ages 4-10; character or jazz tap shoes for older students).
Jazz & Hip-Hop: solid color leotard or unita rd, tights, black leather jazz shoes or dance sneakers or black ballet shoes. May wear jazz pants or leggings.   No jeans or shorts without tights, please.
Modern/Pilates:  solid colored leotard, pink tights, bare feet. An exercise mat is required for body conditioning.

Male students may wear shorts and t-shirt with appropriate black dance shoes where required.
