Julie Reeves, CEO/Director
Mrs. Reeves has been choreographing and teaching dance since 1983. Her experience includes dance teams, theater, talent shows, pageants, business shows, as well as studio and liturgical dance choreography and performances.
She has a BS in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology (1990) and is a certified member of Dance Educators of America. She is also licensed and certified in Progressing Ballet Technique as of June 2017 and continues that training regularly. Her training spans most her life in ballet, clogging, tap, jazz, pointe, and modern. She coached and choreographed in many musical theatre shows and halftime shows over her career.
She is the Artistic Director of Steps of Faith Dance Company, the non-profit performance and ministry group based at Steps of Faith Dance Studio, and has led the group on both stateside and international mission trips. She also enjoys promoting the arts in the community as a Board member and current Chairman of the Cultural Arts Alliance, where she has been a board member since 2010.
She also lends her time to judging Governor’s Honors programs, Distinguished Young Woman programs, and coaching dancers for scholarship and performance opportunities. She was awarded the Don Kordecki Arts Award in 2017 for her long-standing contribution to the arts in her community and county. She was recently invited to be part of a panel at a Studio Expansion Masterclass to share her successes as a studio owner. She is a graduate of Studio Evolution's studio business owners two year program.
Julie feels blessed by the Lord and honored to be director of SOF, which she has seen grow from 22 to 300 students in over twenty years. Julie has 3 wonderful adult sons, Collin (married to Krystal), Carter (married to Tori), Caleb, and dear daughter born in China, Caroline.
She is honored to serve with the priceless support of her dear husband, Robby.

Christina Weinzetl, Missions Director
Ms. Weinzetl grew up in White, Georgia where she trained at Steps of Faith Dance Studio in Cartersville, Georgia, since the age of 9.
Christina began dancing at the age of 4 years old, training in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, and hip hop. She has danced with such programs as the Georgia Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, City Gate Dance, Dance Canvas, and the Radio City Rockettes where she had the opportunity to perform at Radio City Music Hall and the Fox Theatre.
Christina studied dance at Belhaven University for a year and a half having to change majors suddenly due to an ankle injury requiring surgery. She went on to study and graduate with a degree in Anthropology at Lee University. Three years after the surgery her ankle was completely healed to the point where she is doing all the doctors said she would never be able to do again.
She returned to the United States after dancing with two Christian Professional Companies in London, England; Elevate Dance Company and The Rebirth Network. As well, she had the opportunity to work with such projects as the Natasha's Project being a research dancer for this anti sex trafficking dance company and taught for the Shuller school of the arts. She has also had the opportunity to take the arts overseas on outreach trips to places such as Norway, Sweden, Trinidad, and she was the assistant coordinator for trips to Spain and Italy, and stateside in Kentucky.
Christina became an instructor at the age of 15 teaching at Steps of Faith and went on to teach for churches and Theatre groups around North Georgia as well as international conferences such as the "Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers", the "Mississippi Baptist Fine Arts conference" and" International Dance Festival Ireland". She was invited to come back to London Winter of 2019 to choreograph and teach in England and Ireland.
Christina recently danced professionally with Unity Dance Troupe in Cleveland TN. She is currently dancing in area theatre and performance groups as a soloist or featured performer along with her responsibilities as Company Director of Steps of Faith Dance Company since July 2015. She coordinates our outside performances, ministry opportunities, and mission trips, as well as weekly devotions for our preprofessional dancers.
She makes her home in Cartersville with her husband, Austin (affectionately know as DAD around the studio), and their dog, Astra.

Theresa Shampine, Ballet Mistress
Ms Shampine has been a part of SOF since 2001. She has enjoyed teaching and choreographing at Steps of Faith for over sixteen years,and worked as our Ballet Mistress during much of that time. The growth and exceptional success of the preprofessional program can be attributed to her tireless work of bringing the highest caliber of teaching and master instructors to our program.
Theresa is originally from Syracuse, New York and was a scholarship student at The Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. Leslie McCumbers, Office Administrator
Ms. Leslie joined our staff Fall 2020 as our new Office Administrator. She will be your new welcoming face as you enter the studio and can take care of most of your needs while you are there. Leslie is a long time SOF dance family member. She has extensive experience in the insurance and office fields. She and her husband, Jason, help run Awanas at their church. She has three children. |
Instructional Staff

Anna Gilbert Anello
Anna Anello from Cartersville, GA is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from Belhaven University. Anna began dancing at the age of thirteen and received her training at Steps of Faith Dance Studio from 2004-2009. During her years at Belhaven, she received the Bezalel Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement and the Refiner’s Award. She also performed historical modern dance restagings of Martha Graham’s “Panorama” and Charles Weidman’s “Brahms Waltzes.” Randall Flinn, artistic director of Ad Deum Dance Company, choreographed a duet and solo on Anna during her time at Belhaven. After college, Anna returned to Steps of Faith from 2013-2015 as a company instructor. She has choreographed for the nationally acclaimed show choir Clovers and Company, Miss Rome Pageant, Georgia’s Distinguished Young Women Competition, and Youth American Grand Prix. Anna now works full time as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for PT Solutions in Acworth, GA. She is passionate about combining her love for science and the arts and is excited to be back teaching with Steps of Faith again. Anna is recently married to her husband Zack Anello and enjoys hiking, working out, and cuddling with her dog Bitsy.

Jacqueline Glass, Asst. Ballet Mistress
Ms. Glass joined the Steps of Faith staff in the fall of 2014 as a SOF alumni.
She began her early training at the Ballet Theater of New Mexico and then trained with the SOF Preprofessional Company for ten years. She has also participated in programs such as the Georgia Ballet, The Georgia Governor's Honors Program, and the Woodland High School Dance Program.
She studied as a dance major at Kennesaw State University during the 2013-2014 season where she took classes in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. She was also was a member of the Kennesaw State University Dance Company where she had the opportunity to perform in original choreography by the KSU faculty. While in college, she also was selected to be a resident assistant at the International Ballet Intensive.
Her performance career includes performances of “The Veil” and “Dreamer” with Unity Dance Troupe. She also spent the 2017-2018 season as a member of The Georgia Ballet’s professional company where she performed in classical ballets and original works including: “La Fille Mal Gardée,” “The Nutcracker,” and “Carmen Suite.”
Ms. Glass is currently our Assistant Ballet Mistress at SOF. She is responsible for training some of our younger preprofessional students and making sure our Timothy level dancers get a thorough and well-rounded ballet education. She is currently the lead instructor for our Timothy 2, 3, 4, and 5 levels!

Kolie Gilliam
Kolie is currently enrolled at Belhaven University as a Senior pursuing her Bachelors of Fine Arts Dance with an emphasis in ballet. She received her dance training at Steps of Faith from ages 5-18. She joined Steps of Faith’s preprofessional company at the age of eight. She assisted in studio classes beginning at age 16. She also attended missions trips with Steps of Faith to Kentucky for four consecutive summers beginning in the summer of 2015. She was a alumni chaperone on Steps of Faith’s mission trip to Kenya in the summer of 2019.

Taylor Gilliam
Taylor is a recent college graduate with a degree in Dance (concentration in ballet) at Kennesaw State University. She received her dance training at SOF from ages 4-18 as well as performing in the company from ages 8-18.
She has assisted and taught dance since 16 years of age, as well as teaching preschool for The Trinity School and Excel Christian School, as well as Footprints Dance Alliance in Alpharetta. She recently completed a very exciting semester working at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida before returning to finish up her degree. Taylor thrives at teaching our youngest dancers about the art of dance! She serves as the Preschool director at Footprints Dance Alliance in Cumming, and is one of our premier primary teachers at SOF. She is now our Timothy 1 lead teacher as well.

Kimberly Linenkohl began her early training in Gainesville, Florida at the Joni Messler Studio of Dance and Dance Theatre of Santa Fe.
She also studied on scholarship at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and the Joffrey Ballet School.
She danced professionally with the Georgia Ballet under the late Iris Hensley and Gina Hyatt- Mazon where she was featured in many productions including Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante and Serenade and Hensley’s Nutcracker as Dew Drop and Lead Spanish.
Kimberly enjoys teaching and choreographing throughout the metro Atlanta area and is pleased to share her love of dance with Steps of Faith. She has recently completed her first certification through ABT, a rigorous training through American Ballet Theatre in NYC.

Precious Luna
Miss Luna began her passion for dancing at age five at Steps of Faith Dance Studio. She continued her training in their company program until the Spring of 2018, where she was a featured performer. During her senior year at Steps of Faith, she interned in the office where she had the opportunity to assist and teach classes including ballet, tap, and hip hop. She also assists in summer dance camps at Steps of Faith including a special needs camp which she loves volunteering for every summer, and she enjoys getting to know and love the children who attend the camp.
Precious loves helping others such as going on mission trips where she has had the pleasure of teaching dance camps to children of all ages, as well as helping in the youth ministry as a teen leader at her church. As a Steps of Faith alumni, she hopes to continue her passion for worshiping our amazing God through dance, and to share and teach that passion with others. She also works with several local theatres to choreograph local musical theatre productions. In addition, she attends college locally and is super excited to be teaching at Steps of Faith where she loves to call her second home.

Colleen Myers, Esther Ensemble Director
Colleen Myers joined SOF staff on January of 2010, though she has been a favorite guest teacher for many years prior.
Colleen trained with the Atlanta Ballet, and earned her BFA in Ballet Performance in 2001 from Texas Christian University.
She danced professionally with the Georgia Ballet, and has taught at Eastside School of Ballet and First Baptist Dallas Celebration Company. She is an expert at teaching all things allegro and inspires our dancers to move with vigor and passion! This fall she gets to lead the Esther Ensemble program.
She is also a registered nurse and lactation consultant at Kennestone Women's Services!
She is married to Patrick, and has one daughter, Julianne and two young sons, Evan and Andrew.

She taught dance for numerous studios in the private sector as well as in public education, creating and directing dance education programs for McCleskey, Awtrey, and Barber Middle Schools in Cobb County.
She was named Teacher of the Year for Barber Middle School for the 2006-2007 school year and served on the committee which crafted the Georgia Power Standards for Dance Education in 2009.
In addition to dance training, Tiffany also earned a M.Ed. and a Sp.Ed in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University. She is an ongoing member of National Dance Educators of America, and specializes in teaching our special needs program, and musical theatre.
